June 2015 

Brazil and China are two of the world's fastest developing countries with strong emerging economies. They also both have deep experience in large-scale and high-quality restoration, as well payment for ecosystems service programs. Practitioners from China and Brazil met for a study tour and learning exchange in October of 2014 and their collaboration will continue in Brazil in the summer of 2015.

April 2015

The United States Forest Service will host an International Seminar on Forest Landscape Restoration in Oregon in April of 2015. The seminar is designed to stimulate interaction and learning on a broad spectrum of issues related to forest landscape restoration and is built for mid-career profes­sionals who wish to participate in an engaging, interactive, and highly informative training and field study program. Attendees will learn about tools and best practices for assessing forest landscape restoration opportunities and developing and implementing landscape restoration plans across a mosaic of land uses, and will be introduced to approaches for fostering collaborative partnerships
